A cookie banner that asks first, and keeps the proof.
Privacyboard gives you a cookie banner with equal Accept and Reject buttons, five languages and a log of every choice. Known analytics and marketing tools are held back until the visitor says yes, and your declaration is built from the services you list.

Your site, scanned
Known services are listed from your page, with the tag change needed so they wait for consent.
See what loads before the choice
The banner reports which other websites your pages contacted, and flags known services contacted before the visitor chose.
A log you can export
Every choice is recorded without an IP address and can be exported as PDF or Excel.
What does a cookie banner have to do?
Cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics and advertising, generally need the visitor's consent before they are set or read. The ePrivacy rules require it, and the GDPR defines what valid consent is: a clear, free and specific choice, which you can show later and which is as easy to withdraw as to give.
In practice this means the banner must not be only a notice. Tools have to wait for the answer, refusing has to be as easy as accepting, and you need a record of what each visitor chose. Privacyboard is built around those three points.
How it works
- 1
List your services
Scan your website to list the services it loads, and add any the scan cannot see. Each service gets a category: necessary, preferences, statistics or marketing.
- 2
Set up the banner
Choose colours, position and texts, or keep the standard texts, translated automatically. Preview it before it goes live.
- 3
Install and check
Add one line to your pages. The panel shows which other websites your pages contacted, and whether it happened before the visitor chose.
What you get
Scan of your website
We read your page and list the known services it contains, with the exact tag change needed when a tag is written in the page.
Blocking until consent
Scripts, frames, pixels and requests from known trackers are held back until the visitor accepts their category.
Google Consent Mode v2
Analytics and advertising signals start as denied and update with the visitor's choice. You can block Google tags instead.
Equal choices
Accept all and Reject all have the same weight. Closing the banner without choosing is not counted as consent.
A log of choices
Each choice is recorded with a random visitor ID, the banner version and the date. No IP address is stored. Export it as PDF or Excel.
Cookie declaration
The services you list become your cookie declaration, ready to export or to link from your policy.
Where the rules touch cookies
The banner helps you meet these points, but compliance also depends on what your site actually loads. It is not a certified Google CMP and does not implement the IAB TCF framework.
- ePrivacy Directive, Article 5(3)
- Storing or reading information on a visitor's device needs consent, except when it is strictly necessary to provide the service they asked for.
- GDPR, Articles 4(11) and 7
- Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. You must be able to demonstrate it, and withdrawing must be as easy as giving it.
- Regulator guidance
- Several data protection authorities expect refusing to be as easy as accepting, and expect tools not to run before the choice.
Questions, answered.
Does this make my website GDPR compliant?
No tool can promise that. The banner asks for consent, blocks the services it knows and keeps a log. What your site loads, and what your declaration says, remains your responsibility, and the panel helps you check it.
Are tags written directly in my pages blocked?
They are prevented from running before consent, but the browser may still request the file. To avoid the request completely, change the tag as the scan shows. Tools added by code, pixels and background requests are blocked before they are sent.
Does it work with Google Tag Manager?
The tags a container loads cannot be seen by the scan. Keep Google tags on Block, or use Consent Mode and set the tags to wait for consent in Tag Manager.
Is it a certified CMP for Google or advertising networks?
No. It is not registered with the IAB TCF framework and is not a Google-certified CMP. If your advertising partners require one, check their requirements first.
What does the consent log contain?
A random visitor ID, the date, the banner version, the action and the choice for each category. It contains no IP address and is kept for 13 months.
Is the cookie banner free?
You can set it up, scan your site and preview it for free. Publishing it on your website needs Pro.
