Choose where new privacy request notifications go, where people reply and edit the wording of the emails sent to people who contact you.
Email settings control what happens when someone sends a privacy request from your privacy center.
#Email addresses
- Receive notifications of new requests. The address that is told when a request arrives. The notification does not copy the request details: you read them inside the workspace, so personal data is not duplicated in mailboxes.
- People reply to. The reply address of the automatic confirmation and of every reply you send from Privacyboard. It defaults to your privacy contact.
#Email templates
- Sent automatically. The receipt a person gets right after sending a request, with their reference number. You can edit the wording.
- Replies you send. Reply templates for each situation: acknowledge receipt, ask for identity proof, extension notice, refusal and completion. They are prepared with the request details, you edit them if needed, then send them from Privacyboard or copy them to send from your own mailbox. See Replies and templates.
Templates accept placeholders such as the request type, the date received and the deadline, which are filled in for each request.
#FAQ
#Why does the notification not show the request?
To avoid copying personal data into email. Open the workspace to read it.
#What if I have not set an email address?
Requests are still added to your workspace and flagged on your overview, but you will not be notified by email.
