Security and your data
Data Privacyboard handles
A clear list of the data Privacyboard handles for you and for visitors of your pages: account data, workspace content, privacy requests, cookie choices and billing.
Privacyboard handles data in two roles. For your own account it acts for itself. For what your customers and website visitors send through your pages, it acts on your behalf.
#Your account and workspace
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email and password | To sign you in. |
| Company details, vendors, activities, documents | To run the service and generate your documents. |
| Billing status | To know whether a workspace is on Free or Pro. Card details stay with our payment provider. |
#Through your privacy center: privacy requests
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email, type of request and details the person writes | To let you answer their request. |
| Dates, status and replies | To count deadlines and keep a record. |
Privacyboard processes these on your behalf. The data stays in your workspace, and the notification email contains none of it.
#Through your cookie banner
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Random visitor ID, date, banner version, choice per category | The consent log (13 months). No IP address. |
| Names of third-party websites and cookies seen, no values | The site check, to warn you of tools that load too early. No identifier. |
#What Privacyboard does not collect from your visitors
- No IP address in the consent log.
- No cookie values.
- No advertising identifiers.
#About privacyboard.io itself
This website uses the Privacyboard cookie banner. Statistics tools on this site, such as audience measurement, wait for the visitor's consent in the same way.
#FAQ
#Am I the controller of my customers' requests?
Yes. When people send you a privacy request, you decide why and how to use it. Privacyboard acts as your processor for the storage and handling.
#Is there a data processing agreement between us?
Our terms of use set the conditions. For details, see the terms and the privacy information of the site.
