Privacyboard writes four documents from the facts in your workspace. Each one has a checklist of what is still missing, a draft you can read and edit, and a validation step.

#The checklist

Each document lists the actions needed before it can be validated: for example adding a legal company name, a privacy contact, vendors, or the region of a vendor. Every item opens the exact field to fill. Items marked optional never block validation.

#Draft, validated, changed

A document is a draft until you validate it. A validated document that depends on a fact you later change is shown as changed since validation, and you review the update. See How Privacyboard works and Validate and export.

#What is public

Documents are private by default. Only documents you have validated and chosen to show appear in your privacy center.

#FAQ

#Which documents do I need?

Every business that processes personal data of people in the EU needs a privacy policy. The vendor list supports it. A data processing agreement is only needed if you process data for clients. The cookie policy exists once your cookie banner is live.

#Can I edit the text of a document?

Yes. You can read the whole draft, change what is wrong and then validate it. Validation records the version you approved.

#Are documents available in other languages?

Documents are written in English today.
