Versions and asking visitors again

Every published banner is a numbered version. Learn how to review history, ask all visitors for a new choice when services change, and take the banner offline.

#Versions

Each time you Publish changes, a new numbered version is created. The history lists each version with its publication date and the configuration it had, so you can show exactly what visitors saw on a given day. The first publication starts the history.

#Draft and live

Your edits are saved as a draft. The banner on your website only changes when you publish. The page shows when the draft differs from the live banner.

#Ask visitors again

If you add or change services in a way that matters to visitors, choose Publish and ask visitors again. Everyone who answered before is asked for a new choice on their next visit. Without that, a saved choice stays valid until it expires.

The banner also asks again when the saved choice is older than the number of months you set, and when it was made on an older version marked as requiring a new choice.

#Take offline

Take offline stops the banner script from loading on your website. Use it for a short pause or when you cancel. A lapsed Pro plan also takes the banner offline. The settings remain in your workspace.

#Caching

The banner script is served from a global network and cached for a few minutes. Publishing, taking offline or changing plans refreshes it, usually within five minutes.
