Validation is how you tell Privacyboard "this is the version I approve". Only validated documents can be shown to the public.

#Validate a document

  1. Complete the checklist of the document.
  2. Open the document and read the whole text. Edit what is wrong.
  3. Choose Validate. The date and the exact text are recorded.

#After validation

  • If you change a fact the document depends on, it is shown as changed since validation. The approved text is not replaced until you validate again.
  • You can remove validation at any time. The document goes back to a draft and leaves your public privacy center.

#Download

Validated documents download as PDF files. The record of processing activities, the privacy requests log and the cookie consent log export to PDF or Excel. You can also download a complete copy of your workspace, see Export and delete your data.

#FAQ

#Is the exported PDF the same as the validated text?

Yes. The PDF is made from the validated version.

#Can I validate a document with open checklist items?

Required items must be completed first. Optional items never block validation.
