Getting started
What is Privacyboard
Privacyboard is a guided GDPR privacy workspace. It writes your privacy policy and related documents from your own facts, keeps them current and lets you publish a privacy center and a cookie banner.
Privacyboard is a guided privacy workspace for businesses that process personal data of people in the European Union. You describe your company, your tools and how you use data once. Privacyboard writes your privacy documents from those answers, keeps track of what is missing, and lets you publish a public privacy center and a cookie banner.
It is built for founders, small teams and agencies who need to be organised about privacy without a legal department. No prior knowledge of the GDPR is needed: each step explains why it matters, in plain language.
#What you can do with it
| Part | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Privacy policy | A GDPR privacy policy written from your company, activities, vendors and practices. |
| Vendor list | Every tool that handles personal data, prefilled for 550+ common tools. |
| Processing register | Your record of processing activities, with ready-made activities. |
| Data processing agreement | A DPA you can give clients when you process data on their behalf. |
| Privacy requests | A request form, the one-month deadline counted for you and ready-made replies. |
| Privacy center | A public trust page with your policy, vendors and request form. |
| Cookie banner | Consent before trackers run, with a log of every choice. |
#How it differs from a template
A template is the same text for everyone. Privacyboard starts from your answers, so each document describes your situation: your vendors appear as recipients, a vendor outside the EEA triggers a question about how the transfer is protected, and the cookie section of your policy is written from your live cookie banner. When you change something, the documents that depend on it are flagged so they never go silently out of date.
The text is assembled from fixed, reviewed wording. It is not written by an AI, and nothing is invented about your company. Anything Privacyboard suggests stays marked as a suggestion until you confirm it.
#What it is not
Privacyboard is a guidance tool, not legal advice, and no tool can make a company compliant on its own. It helps you document, publish and keep up to date what you actually do. See Scope and limits for the full list.
#Who it is for
- Software companies and agencies that must answer privacy questionnaires from customers.
- Online shops and service businesses that collect customer data and use analytics or marketing tools.
- Freelancers and small teams that process data for clients and need a data processing agreement.
#FAQ
#Is Privacyboard free?
Setting up, drafting and validating your documents, tracking requests and previewing your privacy center are free. Publishing the privacy center and the cookie banner needs the Pro plan. See Plans and pricing.
#Do I need to know the GDPR to use it?
No. Each field explains why it is asked, and the workspace shows one next step at a time.
#Is it only for companies in the EU?
It is built around the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, which apply to anyone who processes personal data of people in the EU, wherever the company is based.
#Does Privacyboard use AI to write my documents?
No. Documents are assembled from your answers with fixed, reviewed text.
